The University of Nebraska has partnered with UnitedHealthcare to offer UnitedHealthcare to provide a student insurance plan for Graduate Assistant and International students who are required to carry insurance. UnitedHealthcare provides an affordable, convenient, medical, mental health, dental and prescription insurance plan for students.
ENROLLMENT
Graduate Assistants & International Students
Graduate Assistant, and International students with “F” or “J” visa types are automatically enrolled each semester. Premium for the mandatory student policy is added to the student account and billed along with tuition and fees on the Consolidated Student Bill and can be viewed in MyRED. Each semester, the Office of Student Accounts will contact students through their @Husker email account with information about their enrollment and the steps required to accept or waive the insurance. The information can also be found on this site.
